This is a free application to share your location and search for other PPG pilots in your area.
Here are some simple instructions:
Instructions:
- 1. Click the login link at the top left, and select register in the box that pops up. (You need to register to use the site. People who are not registered are not allow to see the details you leave.)
- 2. Go through the registration process, you'll get an email that links back with a code to activate your account. Check your spam if you don't get an email.
- 3. You should now be able to log in and use the map. Zoom in and out with your mouse wheel and the + or - buttons at the lower right.
- 4. By double clicking on the map, you can place 2 different types of pins:
- a. A single "Home" pin for your location. You can put this at your actual home on the map, or just generally in the town you live in for a bit more privacy, it doesn't matter. You can add phone number, and any comments like what wing you fly, motor, your email, etc.
- b. A Flying site - These are sites you commonly fly from. You can pin the location and add any details like who to contact for permission, special arrangements or rules you've worked out, etc. If you have secret sites, don't post them. Only sites you don't mind sharing with others.
- 5. That's it! As more people drop their pins, hopefully you can find new flying buddies around your area and new places to explore! You can only have 1 home site. If you make a new one, it will delete the old one. This is useful if you spend the summer in one location, winter in another, etc. You can have as many flying site pins as you like.
